Jeep Wrangler vs Ford Bronco

With the release of the Ford Bronco, SUV drivers have a new vehicle to consider. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of the Bronco and all its glory, though it will undoubtedly have a lot to live up to as Jeep has also released the latest version of their iconic Jeep Wrangler. Both of these vehicles are dressed to impress with powerful engines and several advanced features, but which one is the better vehicle? For the answer, continue reading!

 Jeep Wrangler Power & Handling

A couple of outstanding engines are available for the Jeep Wrangler. Standard is a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out an incredible 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Connecting to the engine is either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission to provide you a smooth and safe ride. All trims of the Wrangler offers you the option of either a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 horsepower or the spectacular 3.0-liter diesel engine with 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Perhaps the best part of the Wrangler is that it comes with a variety of four-wheel-drive systems, including an advanced one for the Rubicon trim.

 Ford Bronco Power & Handling

Only two engine options are available for the new Ford Bronco. Starting things off is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder that comes with 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. If this isn't enough power for you, Ford gives you the option of a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 with a decent 310 horsepower. Both manual and automatic transmission is available for the Ford Bronco. Both of these engines are fine but lack the pickup that the Wrangler has. Also, we are huge fans of the Wranglers multiple four-wheel-drive systems, which is something that the Bronco lacks.

 Jeep Wrangler Features & Design

While the engine lineup for the Wrangler is undoubtedly impressive, what even more impressive is its list of features. The base Sport comes with underbody skid plates, fog lights, and push-button ignition. Inside, the Wrangler comes with all the latest technology, including an eight-speaker sound system. Higher trims add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The Unlimited version of the Sport has an extra set of doors and additional rear seats. Sport S variants add to the Sport with air conditioning, power windows, and keyless entry. Higher trims of the Wrangler provide drivers and passengers with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and safety features such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection. Perhaps the best part of the Jeep Wrangler is the three special editions. Known as the Black and Tan, the Willy's, and the Freedom, these Wranglers come with everything from heavy-duty breaks to specifically tailored graphics packages.

Ford Bronco Features & Design

The all-new Ford Bronco comes with some terrific features as well. Inside the cabin, the Bronco comes with many technological advances such as easy to use buttons that allow you to control many aspects of the vehicle with the simple push of a button. These features include the front stabilizer bar, the rear and front differential lock, hazard lights, and electronic stability control. Higher trim levels of the Bronco come with your choice of durable cloth, vinyl, and leather seats. You also get those seats heated and ventilated. Much like the Jeep Wrangler, several roof options are available, which include a removable hardtop system and multiple panels. There is a lot to like about the Ford Bronco's features, but the Wrangler gives us more.

For us, it's a no-brainer victory for the Jeep Wrangler! The engine options are more powerful and allow drivers to venture far off the beaten path, while the three trim levels, sub-trims, and special editions provide you with a ton of options.
